Tasmanian Gas Pipeline

Tasmanian Gas Pipeline (TGP) Pty Ltd is the owner and licensee of the Tasmanian Gas Pipeline.

TGP Pty Ltd was purchased by Palisade Investment Partners Limited (Palisade) in July 2011. Palisade is a specialist, independent infrastructure manager that focuses on assets that are essential to the efficient functioning of the communities and economies they serve.

TGP Pty Ltd does not directly employ staff to manage, operate or maintain the pipeline.  Instead, it has a number of service agreements in place to ensure the continued operation of the pipeline.

Zinfra Group

TGP has a field services agreement (FSA) with Zinfra.  This agreement covers operation, maintenance and minor construction activities on the pipeline.

Zinfra Group is a leading service provider to the utility infrastructure sector.  They deliver a comprehensive range of engineering, operations, maintenance and construction services nationally. Their services include asset management, engineering, design, project management, construction, maintenance and asset operations.

TGP has a control room services agreement (CRSA) with Jemena.  This means Jemena is responsible for monitoring the pipeline’s condition through remote sensors.

Jemena is a unique Australian infrastructure company that builds, owns and maintains a range of major electricity, gas and water assets. Jemena manages more than $8 billion worth of Australian utilities assets. They specialise in both transmission and distribution of electricity and gas.
